With more than 200 employees, Elektromotorenwerk Grünhain has developed into a market-leading supplier of customised drives and innovative drive components for industrial applications. Three-phase and single-phase induction motors from 0.06 to 7.5 kW form the core business and are the main source of revenue. The range of applications extends from pumps and conveyor belts to compressors and gate drives. The company supplies companies in the consumer goods sector, trade, commerce and industry. The company also supports a project by the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau to build an electric racing car.
In order to reduce expenditure in the long term, the electric motor manufacturer ERA Group commissioned various cost areas to be optimised. Jörg Schlake examined the area of business insurance.
