Hechingen, with its eight districts of Bechtoldsweiler, Beuren, Boll, Schlatt, Sickingen, Stein, Stetten and Weilheim, is located on the western edge of the Swabian Alb. With around 19,500 inhabitants, it is the third-largest town in the Zollernalb district and is designated as a medium-sized centre. Nestled in a beautiful natural landscape, the former princely residence offers a high quality of life, based on a diverse infrastructure in the areas of society, economy, health, culture and leisure. In order to maintain this high quality of life for its citizens, the town is continuously expanding its services. In order to finance this from the current budget, cost management plays a prominent role. For this reason, the city of Hechingen has been working with ERA Group for five years and has received support in the areas of office supplies, cleaning products, energy and public tenders during this time. Both performance-based and fixed fee models were used. ERA Group, led by project manager Andreas Ermantraut, is currently examining expenditure on output management.
