What could you discover if you looked at your operation from a different perspective?
In our experience working with leading organizations in the region; we have learned that even the most established companies can discover new ways to generate value when they dare to look at their operations from a different perspective.

A good example of this is our collaboration with Grupo Calesa; Panama's largest agro-industrial complex; where the strategic approach unlocked efficiencies that were hidden at first glance.
The project covered more than 10 categories of expenditure. The real value came from focusing on those areas that; due to their direct impact on operations and their level of complexity; often represent constant challenges for the company's management: packaging materials; agrochemicals; energy and insurance were some of the areas where we identified efficiencies that represented overall savings for the group of 20% on average.
This case leaves us with lessons that can resonate with many organizations:
1. Best practices do not always mean that everything is optimised.
2. 'Non-strategic' categories can have a significant impact if analyzed with the right approach.
3. External collaboration can reveal opportunities that are not visible in day-to-day operations.
Often; the greatest value lies not only in what is saved; but in what is discovered: identifying new opportunities; challenging assumptions and making decisions with greater clarity can make all the difference.
