WONIK Quartz Europe GmbH has been developing and manufacturing quartz glass products for more than 60 years. Its products include injectors, boats, process tubes and much more. The company is part of a global South Korean corporation with branches in China, Taiwan, Japan, the USA and Europe. The European headquarters, with 80 employees, is located in Geesthacht, near Hamburg in Schleswig-Holstein.
In order to secure its future, the company commissioned Michael Nels from ERA Group to examine the freight costs category in more detail and optimise it as best as possible. Nels brought in experts Max Rabeler and Klaus Michael Plötz to work on the project.
