The British School of Brussels (BSB) is a private international school with nearly 1,350 students aged 1 to 18 and around 300 employees. The school follows the British education system and offers a range of extracurricular activities. Located in Tervuren, The British School of Brussels is the second largest international school in Belgium.
The school wanted to review its operating costs. Due to a lack of time within its own finance department, the school sought outside help to conduct a thorough review. The school approached ERA Group through another international school that had recommended its services.
"The person who recommended us was very positive about ERA, and that recommendation was very important to us," explains Johan Servranckx, Finance and Operations Director at The BSB. "As we are an educational institution, stability is a crucial criterion. We cannot make rapid changes as would be the case, for example, at a production site. In addition, the decisions we make have repercussions for several people. The ultimate goal was not to save money, but to find the best value for money for a number of services," explains Johan Servranckx.
