Pritesh’s Story of Long-Term Growth with ERA Group

Pritesh Patel is a franchisee for ERA Group, having started his journey in January 2006. When he joined, he was relatively young and still building his experience in business, but what stood out to him at the time was the opportunity ERA Group offered to learn, develop, and grow a consulting practice over the long term.

Looking back, he describes the experience as one that has gone far beyond his original expectations. What began as an opportunity to build skills and explore business consulting has developed into a full consulting practice, which he now runs alongside a wider team of six people.

Over the years, Pritesh has built and scaled a business that has grown significantly, both in size and ambition. While he describes the work as demanding, he also sees it as highly rewarding—where success is directly linked to the effort and commitment put in. A major ongoing challenge, in his view, is building the right team, but he also recognises that having strong people around him makes everything more effective and sustainable.

He also highlights the support of the wider ERA Group network, particularly colleagues in sales and key account management, which he credits as an important part of his business development journey. This network has helped him expand into larger and more complex opportunities over time.

As he puts it, “the business has grown to levels I never thought were possible when I started.”

One of the key directions for him now is international growth, with increasing involvement in projects across different markets, particularly the UK and the USA. This reflects a shift from building a local practice to participating in a broader, more global consulting footprint.

At the core of his view of success is relationships. He believes that business fundamentally comes down to how well you engage with customers, and that organisations that get this right are the ones that ultimately succeed in the long term.

What he values most about ERA Group today is recognition—both from peers and from within the network—for the work that goes into delivering client projects. He notes that the visible output of consulting work often doesn’t reflect the depth of effort involved, making that recognition particularly meaningful.

Beyond business growth, ERA Group has also given him a level of financial independence and lifestyle flexibility that he did not originally expect. It has created the ability to travel more, spend time with his wife, and have greater control over how he plans his future—including the option to step back earlier if he chooses.

His story reflects a long-term journey of growth within ERA Group—from a young and developing consultant to a business owner running a team, expanding internationally, and building a lifestyle shaped around both ambition and freedom.
