What David Rounsevell values most in his role is the people he works with and the opportunity to see them succeed. For him, leadership is not just about growth at a business level, but about helping individuals build careers that are both successful and fulfilling.

As he puts it, “the thing I like most is seeing people become successful.”

David’s own journey gives him a personal perspective on what ERA Group can offer. Having left a corporate career more than two decades ago, he first joined ERA Group as a franchisee and spent 13 years building his own business within the network. That experience shaped his belief in the model—particularly the ability to combine professional independence with meaningful financial outcomes and a more balanced way of life.

He now sees that same opportunity being replicated across the region, where individuals from a wide range of professional backgrounds are able to build businesses that suit their own strengths. In his view, success in ERA Group is not limited to a single profile or career path. People from finance, consulting, sales, or delivery backgrounds often discover new directions once they are in the role, sometimes shifting into completely different parts of the business than they originally expected.

For David, that flexibility is one of the most powerful aspects of the model. Rather than placing people into fixed roles, ERA Group allows individuals to shape their own path—whether that means focusing on client relationships, delivery, or building and leading teams.

He also highlights the structure of onboarding and integration, where new franchisees are introduced to both the people and the systems behind the business, helping them quickly feel part of a wider team.

Ultimately, he sees ERA Group as an opportunity for people to take control of their careers, build meaningful businesses, and achieve a balance that is often difficult to find in traditional corporate roles—something he has experienced firsthand throughout his own journey.
