María José Balaguer holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham Trent University (UK) and an EMBA from ICADE.Before joining ERA Group, she developed her professional career at the multinational BSH (in the household appliance manufacturing sector) in the field of planning and quality, and later in the furniture manufacturing sector, where she held the position of Director of Quality, Safety and Environment, and was Assistant to Management.
She joined ERA Group as a Partner in 2008. Since joining, she has focused exclusively on the Waste Management category, mainly for Iberia and Latin America. Her projects address both expenditure and income from the sale of by-products, seeking to rationalise the internal flow and output of waste to waste managers. Exploring recovery solutions, she incorporates circular economy and Zero Waste policies into her clients' practices.
