Partly due to acquisitions, the construction wholesaler had experienced significant growth over the years. This had enabled the company to roll out a finely meshed national distribution network.
Due to the pace of growth, suppliers of acquisition partners had remained on board if they had previously performed well. This allowed work to continue at full speed.
ERA was called in to review the current parcel transport system. Although there were no obvious pain points and costs were closely monitored, the management still wanted to investigate whether an external specialist could identify areas for improvement.
