Jünger GmbH has been manufacturing high-quality sheet metal constructions since 1906. From 1975 onwards, the company specialised exclusively in stainless steel and aluminium container bases. Jünger supplies its products to various industries and sectors, such as the food and chemical industries, as well as oven, vehicle and apparatus manufacturing. Steel purchasing is a strategic category for the Siegen-based company. In order to examine its own cost structure for steel purchasing, Jünger GmbH commissioned Volker Worringer from ERA Group to analyse this cost block. Worringer brought in steel purchasing expert Dr. Harald Lampey to work on the project.
