Helmholtz Centre Dresden reduces costs and invests in the future with the help and support of ERA Group experts.
The Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) is an internationally recognised research institution whose goal is to conduct long-term, cutting-edge research in socially relevant areas such as energy, health, the structure of matter and key technologies. In strategic collaborations with research and industry partners, the research centre addresses new topics that are pressing for modern industrial society. With a budget of approximately 90 million euros and over 800 employees, the HZDR is Saxony's largest research institute.
In order to generate additional budget for research, the Commercial Director of the HZDR, Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Peter Joehnk, commissioned ERA Group to analyse and reduce expenditure on office supplies.
The result of the tender: the supplier with the best offer was almost 42 per cent below the previous prices. Andrea Runow, Head of Administration at the HZDR, was very satisfied with the result. "The savings in office supplies are very convincing. ERA Group has done an excellent job and created sustainable added value for us."
