Avis-Budget Group (ABG) is a leading global car rental company and has been awarded "Best Car Rental Company in Europe" for a consecutive decade. The increasing price pressure on rentals involves the need to continuously seek opportunities to reduce purchasing costs for goods and services. Furthermore, as part of the reorganisation plan that followed the merger with Maggiore in Italy, Avis Budget turned to ERA Group to rapidly increase its ability to manage complex procurement and purchase process integration projects. "After a joint analysis of the scope of intervention," says Mr Leonetti, "we decided to start a first phase analysis of purchases of fuel, travel and transfers, postage and cleaning. We provided ERA with the accounting information and awaited the first results. In an extremely short time, we were able to see how, from such detailed analyses, we could potentially achieve incredible results, giving ERA a mandate to continue the work."
