BAVARIA YACHTS is the world's most modern manufacturer of sailing yachts, motorboats and catamarans. The company employs around 600 people and produces around 1,200 motorboats and sailing boats annually. One of the company's largest cost centres is inbound and outbound logistics, as well as spare parts replenishment and shipping, which is handled by courier, express and parcel services (CEP). The company commissioned Karsten Schachne and Volker Worringer from ERA Group to investigate these areas. Logistics experts Klaus Plötz and Alex Scheld were also brought in to work on the project.
