With a population of just under 35,000, Zweibrücken, known as the "city of roses", is a medium-sized town in the Western Palatinate region, directly bordering the neighbouring state of Saarland. In order to ease the strain on the municipal budget, the town commissioned Michael Paulus from ERA Group to analyse and optimise cost management in various areas. For the cost block of output management, i.e. the costs incurred for the maintenance, leasing and purchase of printers, copiers, fax machines, etc., Paulus called in the expert Volker Worringer.
Until now, the city of Zweibrücken had annual output management expenses of just under €115,000. These costs included expenses for the equipment itself as well as for consumables and service.
