In December; ERA Group Morocco hosted an exclusive dinner at the sumptuous Palais Faraj in Fez. This event brought together industry leaders for an evening of enriching discussions and networking.Co-organized with Daisy Consulting Group; the dinner focused on a topical theme: "Supply Chain Optimisation and Management"; addressing one of the major challenges facing the business world today.During the event; a round table brought together some thirty local industrialists and a panel of experts. The discussion was led by Eric Mass; Director of Purchasing and Supply Chain; and Yassine Adib; supply chain management specialist; and moderated by Mehdi Alaoui; ERA partner in Spain since 2019.Manufacturers in Fez and the surrounding regions are currently facing significant logistical challenges due to unfinished infrastructure projects such as the logistics zone and dry port. During the discussions; ERA experts highlighted the opportunities offered by emerging technologies; including Artificial Intelligence and digital process management; to optimise operations and promote sustainable growth.
This event marks the start of a series of round tables and initiatives that ERA Group plans to organize across Morocco as part of its first anniversary in the country. As Achraf Bouqdib; Country Manager of ERA Group Morocco; explains:
"Our goal is to spark a collective pollination that will enable Moroccan manufacturers to break out of their isolation and help them save money and improve their profitability through cost optimisation and the implementation of intelligent management of each category of expenditure and supplier."

As a logistics expert and entrepreneur; Adib shared his experience in the digitalisation of warehouses in Morocco; as well as his role in the logistics management of Covid-19 vaccines during the health crisis. His presentation highlighted the key role of innovation in the evolution of the logistics sector.
Eric Mass; a purchasing and operations specialist with over twenty years of experience in Spain; highlighted the impact of economic and geopolitical developments on supply chains in Europe and Africa; challenges that have been exacerbated since the Covid crisis. He emphasised that:
"Uncertainty is the greatest risk to business continuity. Leaders must remain agile and equip themselves with the right management tools to make informed decisions in real time."
