ERA Group, a world leader in cost optimisation, conducted a study on the biggest challenges facing Portuguese companies in the current economic climate. The survey was sent to more than 400 managers of leading companies.
According to the results, order cancellations by customers are the biggest difficulty currently faced by leaders, followed by the closure of companies' production and commercial structures.
In terms of problems inherent to the supply chain, the greatest impact is on the supply of safety materials, followed by the drop in raw materials and problems caused by transport.
In terms of teleworking support tools, written communication (e-mail/chat) was the most widely used, with video coming in second place.
In terms of support for companies, entrepreneurs highlight simplified lay-offs and the availability of credit lines as the measures with the most significant impact.
With a view to post-Covid reopening, the delivery of protective equipment to employees, the transition to virtual meetings with external parties and the sanitisation of facilities stand out as the most important measures in the organization of work.
