In the healthcare sector, many facilities, such as nursing homes, care homes and private clinics, are facing the consequences of the pandemic and the current historical moment. They face many challenges, such as declining profitability, rising prices and increased workloads, and cannot always count on suppliers that are aligned with market benchmarks.
In this context, saving money may seem difficult, but it is not impossible. Thanks to ERA, Cooperativa San Paolo was able to survey the market in search of purchasing opportunities that met its quality standards. Taking advantage of some expiring supply contracts, it reviewed its purchasing procedures and identified savings to invest in new projects to support patient care.
The categories analysed, for which double-digit savings were generated, were: cleaning, laundry and sanitary materials.
