Prior to joining ERA in 2007, Sonia held the Director of Finance position for CP Ships prior to its merger with Hapag Lloyd. In addition to overseeing the financial reporting and general ledgers for the North American Headquarters, that position allowed her to work through the global acquisitions and mergers of numerous steamship lines.
Sonia also held CFP and Controller positions in Not-For-Profit and Manufacturer/Distributor/Retailer that maintained its own fleet of trucks in addition to utilizing regional and national freight carriers.
Sonia’s 25+ year business career also includes CFO for a Not-for-profit, Big 4 auditing experience, and export management experience with an international freight forwarder. She is a licensed CPA and obtained her B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Oswego and earned her M.B.A. (focusing on Entrepreneurship) from University of Tampa.
