This is the topic I discussed in Argentina Mining. There; I spoke about the urgent need to apply metrics in sustainability; CSR; investment and return — four words that are often used as synonyms; but are not.

I shared the idea that when sustainability is measured; it ceases to be an expense; and when it is planned; it generates returns.
Thanks to the Argentina Mining team for the space; and to my fellow panellists; Paola Pavanello and Agustina Ferreyra Eandi for a presentation with a technical and realistic view of what mine closure entails; HR in mining; and linking sustainability with costs.
Because if I have learned anything over the years; it is that good business decisions are planned and reflected in the impact they leave behind.
Sustainability without cost assessment is unviable.
